The Bucks of America Flag

Bucks of America was a regiment of volunteer freemen of color, the only documented black military unit of the Revolutionary War. General George Washington and Massachusetts Governor John Hancock presented these regimental colors to the unit.  Their initials are part of the design. The original flag is preserved and on display in Boston at the Massachusetts Historical Society.
